What was the name of the company where you did WEX and can you explain a little bit about the company?
PC Tech Centre LTD, a printer and PC repair shop that also repairs and sells electrical items based in south Croydon.
How was your first day?
Prior to my first day, I was asked to attend an interview on the Saturday where I was asked to name parts of electronic components so the manger was confident that I knew how to fix items. I passed with flying colours and on my first day I was introduced to the staff who made to feel welcome.
What did you enjoy the most?
On my last day I was asked to build a PC from scratch which took all day. I had to work with multiple wires and work out their function and ensure it was installed correctly for it to work. This was a huge challenge for me, but I am happy to say it worked in the end.
What have you learnt from WEX?
I learnt how to build a PC and I learnt about customer service which was new to me.
Would you recommend WEX to other students?
If you are interested in digital media and technology it’s good to keep updated with PC skills as technology is always changing. Learning new things so that you end up where you want to be in life.
Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years’ time?
I’d like to see myself as an animator or a graphic designer.
