Croydon War
Dear Parents and Carers,
The Metropolitan Police has advised us to write to you about a series of events being advertised on social media targeting students attending schools in Croydon. The events being referred to as ''Croydon War" where different schools are being encouraged to meet and fight, present a very serious risk to student safety and we strongly advise students not to attend. Although our school is not specifically mentioned in the group chat, we will be speaking to students about the dangers of these sorts of events and the consequences from our behaviour policy if any of our students are involved. I would be grateful if you could reinforce this message when you speak to your child. As an additional safety measure, we will be conducting random searches on students.
The police are monitoring these events carefully and we will continue to share any updates as we receive them. If you or your child wishes to speak to anyone about these events, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
