7th to 11th June 2021 Allianz – Business and Insurance Year 10 to Year 13/FE

Students will have the opportunity to gain a virtual insight into a busy insurance company. They will learn about departments such as finance, complaints, sales, underwriting etc.

All students will be allocated a timetable and will take part in a combination of independent study and employer live sessions and can ask questions throughout the week. During your virtual work experience, they will be allocated tasks and a main project which will be presented to the employer at the end of the week. (10 Placements)

7th to 11th June 2021 - Centrale – Business/ Retail/ Employability skills - Awaiting Information

7th to 11th June 2021  – IARS -  Research / Business/ Law/Social Policy – Year 12/13 only or academic Year 11 and FE

IARS (Independent Academic Research Studies International Institute) believes in the value of volunteering, especially for young people aged 14-30. They believe it is an important way for them to make a positive contribution to their communities and is of particular benefit to young people who are often forgotten or marginalised. Virtual volunteering with IARS involves engaging with social policy issues, it means doing youth-led research, stakeholder mapping, preparing content for our online platforms and working directly to support our project coordinators with their range of exciting projects.

Students will be allocated a timetable and will take part in a combination of independent study and employer live sessions with the opportunity to ask questions. During their virtual work experience, they will be allocated tasks and a main project which they will present at the end of the week. (10 placements)

14th to 18th June 2021 HMRC- FINANCE – Year 11 to 12 and FE only in tops sets/grades for English and Maths

You will have the opportunity to gain a virtual insight into the HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs). You will be allocated a timetable and will take part in a combination of independent study and employer live sessions and the opportunity to ask questions. The timetable includes an introduction to HMRC and tax, developing soft skills, applications forms and CV’s, interviews and online tests, information about a range of apprenticeships with HMRC and the opportunity to meet some current apprentices. During your virtual work experience, you will be allocated tasks and a main project which you will present at the end of the week. (10 placements)

14th to 18th June 2021 - Prestolite Electrics (Engineering) - Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Year 10 to Year 13 and FE

You will have the opportunity to gain a virtual insight into a busy Engineering company.  Prestolite Electric Incorporated is a global manufacturer and supplier of alternators, starters, and other equipment for the use of transportation, industrial and military. You will be allocated a timetable and will take part in a combination of independent study and employer live sessions and have the opportunity to ask questions. During your virtual work experience, you will be allocated tasks and a main project which you will present at the end of the week. (10 Placements)

14th to 18th June 2021- Sir Robert McAlpine – Construction – Year 10 to Year 13 and FE

You will have the opportunity to gain a virtual insight into a busy construction company. The Morello project is a £350m regeneration scheme which has already delivered 300 new homes close to East Croydon station. You will be sent a timetable and will take part in a combination of independent study and employer live sessions and have the opportunity to ask questions. During your virtual work experience you will be allocated tasks and a main project which you will present at the end of the week. (10 placements)

14th to 18th June  2021 – Axis Europe – Business and Construction/Property Maintenance Year 10 to Year 12 and FE

You will have the opportunity to gain a virtual insight into a busy property service company. You will learn about departments such HR, Training and Recruitment, Community work. You will be allocated a timetable and will take part in a combination of independent study and employer live sessions and the opportunity to ask questions. During your virtual work experience, you will be allocated tasks and a main project which you will present at the end of the week.
