Vocational Level 2/3 Construction - Bricklaying - Vocational

Bricklaying is one of the traditional trades both in the UK and around the world. Those studying bricklaying will learn a variety of skills to enable them to build, repair and maintain the country's housing stock.

Level 2

This qualification allows you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment as a Bricklayer.

It covers the following skills:
•    Interpreting working drawings to set out masonry structures
•    Producing thin joint masonry and masonry cladding
•    Building solid walling, isolated and attached piers
•    Construct cavity walling forming masonry structures

Level 3

Studying at this level allows students the opportinity to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Bricklaying.

It covers the following skills:
•    Repair and maintain masonry structures
•    Constructing radial and battered brickwork
•    Carrying out decorative and reinforced brickwork
•    Constructing fireplaces and chimneys
